A Clear, Fair and Independent Process
From the first nomination to the final judging decision, every stage is designed to recognise genuine excellence and give Scotland's wedding businesses a fair opportunity to shine.
Nominations open on 1 August 2026 and close on 31 July 2027. Couples can put forward the wedding businesses whose service, care and professionalism made a lasting difference to their celebration.
A nomination can only be made after the couple's wedding has taken place. This means every nomination is based on a genuine, completed experience with the business concerned.
Businesses must have been trading for at least one year and hold all relevant business and public liability insurance. These standards help ensure every eligible nominee is operating professionally.
Each couple may nominate up to 15 different wedding businesses. Only one nomination for the same company may be submitted by a couple; duplicate entries will be removed.
Every nomination is carefully checked before the shortlist is confirmed. This verification process protects the integrity of the awards and ensures only genuine, eligible nominations progress.
Shortlisted submissions are assessed without identifying business names. This allows the judging panel to focus solely on the evidence, achievements and quality of service presented.
The judges select the business they believe is the most deserving winner in each category. Decisions are made fairly, independently and without favouritism or outside influence.
Our aim is simple: to celebrate outstanding wedding businesses through a process that is transparent, consistent and impartial. Verification protects the quality of the shortlist, while anonymous judging gives every finalist an equal opportunity to be recognised for the work they do.
